Tea
The history of Flowering Tea is rooted in ingenuity. The majority
of teas we have today are the same ancient brews that have been developed
over thousands of years. It was only a matter of time until someone asked
the question: what more can we do with tea? This question prompted the
invention of Flowering Teas, which were discovered only ten years ago
when a farmer experimented with sewing tea leaves and flowers together. He
formed them into bundles
and found that when they were steeped
that you can enjoy Flowering Tea Repeatedly?
You can steep one bud of Numi’s Flowering Teas three of four times?
There are so many full leaves in each hand-sewn bundle that the flavors
and aromas will continue to infuse the water pot after pot.

Numi’s Brrgamont Black Iced Tea (otherwise known as Aged Earl Grey in the teabag) recently won not one, but TWO awards at the World Tea Expo’s definitive competition: The Iced Tea Shake Off. After going through a rigorous brewing and presentation process, the tea was blind-tasted by a panel of expert judges with superior palettes. In the end, the true taste of tea won out and Numi was declared the winner in the Best Flavored Black tea and Best Overall in the Commercially Brewed category. This tea is truly unique: instead of using oil of bergamot, the full leaves are actually shipped to Italy, where they are aged with real bergamot orange. You can taste the Numi Difference in your own cup of Brrrgamot Black by simply pouring a cooled cup of Aged Earl Grey over ice.
The Numi Tea'm will be traveling the country in 2006.

Since Numi was founded in the Fall of 1999, we have transitioned our entire line of boxed teas to Certified Organic and have become Fair Trade Certified™ with many items, but we have not changed our pricing.
With the additional costs associated with Organic and Fair Trade Certification as well as the ingredients, coupled with other current increases in costs associated with production (i.e. fuel, transportation, cardboard material and ingredients, etc) we've decided it is time to raise the price of each box slightly and this change will soon be reflected on our website.
When you purchase our tea, please know that the couple of extra cents per teabag that you spend reflects our unwavering commitment to providing a premium tea experience to our consumers and Numi’s ongoing dedication to an improved quality of life from farmer to packer.
