Numi Enchanted Tea Garden

Numi Organic Tea, homegrown in Oaktown, is opening an enchanted Tea Garden in Oakland 's Embarcadero Cove. The Numi Tea Garden is an urban tea oasis where one can unwind, relax and be immersed in tea. Guests can discover and enjoy Numi's full selection of loose tea and teasan varieties as well as a menu of light snacks and pastries. The Numi Tea Garden is also a retail store and includes a lounge for live music and events. Numi's commitment to sustainability is reflected in the garden's featured Eco-creative furnishings made by Numi staff: mosaic tables made from scrapped tile & a conference table made from reclaimed driftwood & pallets. The walls are graced with an exhibit of original art and inspirational photographs for Numi's packaging by Numi Founders & Robert Cardelino. With free wi-fi, games and books, as well as music, art, tea and events, this unique setting is a great getaway spot to hang one's hat for an afternoon.

Grand Opening Celebration

If you live in the Bay Area we invite you to join us for the grand opening celebration of our first Tea House. The Grand Opening will take place on Friday, October 12th from Noon to Midnight. Celebrations will be filled with special guest speakers including James Norwood Pratt, San Francisco author and tea aficionado as well as local community speakers from the Ella Baker Center and Rudolf Steiner Foundation. Afterwards Live World Music Performances will inaugurate the Numi stage. The diverse lineup includes Jef Stott of Six Degrees Records, West African Drumming by Rhythm Village & DJ Dragonfly: Trans-Globally-Fuzed Electro-Funky Grooves. Light organic hors d'oeuvres will be provided by Season to Taste. Organic Wine, Beer & Cocktails will be provided by Organic Beverage Alliance including Tea infused Mar-tea-nis from Square One Organic Vodka. Beyond The Pink Ribbon Campaign

Numi is participating in the Beyond The Pink Ribbon Campaign for breast cancer awareness along with Pangea Organics and The Breast Cancer Fund. The campaign is designed to inform consumers of the risks of breast cancer and to educate consumers about healthy alternatives that may help lower their risk. Educational live demos will be taking place throughout the month of October in the following stores: Wild Oats Marketplace, Cost Plus World Market, Whole Foods Market, abc carpet & home, Elephant Pharmacy, Berkeley Bowl Marketplace and Rainbow Grocery.
