100% REAL INGREDIENTS To create the purest tea on the planet, we use only real fruits, flowers, herbs and spices in our tea bags, without the added oils or flavorings ( including "natural flavorings") common to the market. This creates a naturally pure taste rich in authentic flavor. Other flavored teas in the market spray poor grade tea dust or fannings with an oil or essence. The flavor is usually overpowering and perfumey masking the true taste of tea. Berry Black is Darjeeling Black Tea blended with freeze-dried strawberries and raspberries. Other berry teas utilize oils or flavors. This tea is unprecedented in the market. White Orange Spice is Pai Mu Tan White Tea blended with an abundance of citrus - Orange Peel, Schizandra Berries, Lemongrass and dry desert lime - and spices. Most other companies use an orange flavoring, but we go the extra mile to find an authentic tasting blend. In Aged Earl Grey, Numi has created a one of-a-kind blend by naturally scenting Assam Black Tea with Bergamot Orange. A Numi innovation, we ship the tea from India, age it with the fruit for one month and then sift out the fruit. The taste is pleasant with subtle citrus notes. Numi is the only company in the U.S. that offers this type of Earl Grey.

FULL LEAF QUALITY Numi uses only full-leaf tea in their teabags, ensuring a loose-leaf quality tea in every cup. The taste of each tea offers a clean, crisp experience. Most tea bags utilize leftover tea dust or fannings that can only be steeped for 30 seconds, otherwise resulting in a bitter taste. Gunpowder Green Tea is full-leaf hand-rolled green tea pearls that burst open in hot water. (Steep a bag and watch the pearls expand and fill up the pouch.) Breakfast Blend blends four premium full-leaf black teas - Ceylon, Assam, Keemun, and Darjeeling - to compose this hearty, complex cup. FRESH PURE HERBS For Numi's Herbal Teasans, we source fresh pure herbs from all over the world. The herbs are cut to bring out their full flavor. We place more ingredients in each teabag (an average of 2.2 grams vs. the 1.8 grams in standard/ conventional teabags).

ORGANIC DECAFFEINATION PROCESS After searching for a non-toxic organic process, Numi is excited to offer full leaf teas that have been decaffeinated using a Super Critical CO2 extraction process sometimes referred to as “Effervescence”. This process is the only chemical-free method that does not extract flavor or health properties. The tea leaves are placed into a pressurized chamber where Carbon Dioxide is pumped. The inert gas then locks onto the caffeine and extracts it. There is currently no other company in the U.S. offering full leaf-grade CO2 decaffeinated organic tea.

WHAT IS KOSHER Kosher is a term that refers to the traditional Jewish dietary laws. Foods are considered Kosher when they have meet the guidelines. All of our teas and teasans are considered to be "Parve" which means it is a neutral non-dairy, non-meat food that can be consumed with either meat or dairy under the Jewish dietary tradition. All of our teas and teasans have been certified Kosher/Parve by an independent third party Rabbi. We are certified by Natural Food Certifiers (NFC) from New York whose symbol is the apple with a K in the middle. More information can be found on their website. WHAT IS HALAL? Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. By having our teas and teasans certified as Halal, we are saying that our teas contain no ingredients forbidden to people of the Muslim faith. All of our teas and teasans have been independent third party certified Halal by Islamic Services of America (ISA) from Iowa.
