Numi is continuously carving its own unique path in the tea world by pioneering
distinctive blends, introducing exotic herbs, and evolving the ways that people sip tea.
At Numi, the creative minds of our Tea'm of dedicated employees are even more
impressive than the bedazzling spectacle of Dragon Lily unfurling in water.
Like a Chai stall in India or a Tea house in China, our Oakland headquarters
is a hub overflowing with fresh ideas, music, poetry, laughter, and art.
Sipping countless pots of Emerald Sun, the Numi Tea'm, inspired by the
transformation of Leaves into ART, transformed words into the lovely poetry
that harmonize each package. To capture the artistic spirit evoked by our muse,
Numi holds creative workshops for all employees and friends. 2004 included
a teabag lampshade workshop and a music extravaganza soirée that led to
Numi's signature homepage harmony.
Each tea blend is decided upon through collaborative in-house "cuppings",
where the entire Numi Tea'm gathers to sip new flavors, discuss the nuances and
subtleties of blends and learn more about tea. "Cuppings" are the Numi way
to ensure the consistency of quality and flavor that has set the Numi
platform for excellence.
