We think scones are the perfect breakfast pastry. They're rich and buttery, light and creamy, just sweet enough to go with anything, and best of all, they're incredibly easy to make. There's no rolling, folding, layering or fancy techniques - just mix the batter, spoon it out and bake. What could be simpler?
Well, our mixes, that's what.
We've taken the same blend of locally milled flours and premium all-natural ingredients we use at the Diner and put them in convenient one-pound bags that make a generous 10 to 12 three-inch scones or 24 mini-scones. Now you can enjoy bakery-quality scones at home in just about half an hour from start to finish.
Our scone mixes are handy to have around. At a moment's notice, you can fill your kitchen with the buttery aroma of baking pastry, and turn bacon and eggs into a really special brunch.
And don't stop at brunch! Scones are great for snacks, with tea or coffee, as finger sandwiches or even as biscuits with dinner. Once baked, our scones will keep for two to three days sealed tightly in plastic wrap; they freeze beautifully, too.
